What technology can applicants use to apply while in-person at a Job Corps center or one-stop center?

MyJobCorps Portal is mobile friendly and can be accessed through a smartphone, tablet, computer, or other mobile device.

To apply to Job Corps while on-center, applicants can:

  1. Apply using their personal smartphone device or tablet while in-person.
    • If applicants are comfortable, they can easily apply to Job Corps using their smartphone or tablet.
  2. Apply using an Outreach and Admissions staff laptop/computer.
    • Outreach and Admissions staff can allow applicants to access MyJobCorps using their personal staff accounts.
    • Outreach and Admissions staff can allow applicants to access Portal using Outreach and Admissions laptops/desktops under a Guest account. Using this method would require the owner of the laptop, or the IT Point of Contact (POC) to create a Guest account, as the Job Corps Data Center does not have the capability to do this remotely unless the laptop is on the Job Corps domain (e.g., on Center). [If the password of the Guest account needs to be reset, either the laptop owner or POC would need to reset it.]

Outreach and Admissions staff would be responsible to sit with the applicant during their use of the laptop. Any action that occurs on the laptop while signed in with the staff member’s account will be the responsibility of the Outreach and Admissions staff member.

Please be advised that these methods have been approved by the Job Corps National Office.
