Review Readmit Waivers

This user guide is for the following MyJobCorps user roles: Regional Director (RD), COR

Overview

Regional Directors review and make decisions on readmit waiver requests and center recommendations for denial in MyJobCorps Gateway.

Division Chiefs and CORs have access to review these cases but cannot make decisions. Follow the steps below to complete these reviews efficiently.

Review Readmit Waivers

When you receive an email notification that a readmit waiver request is assigned to you, proceed with the following steps:

  1. From the Home view select the 'Readmit Waivers' tab.
  2. Select the Application Tracking Number of the case you want to review.
  3. The Readmissions tab will open automatically.
  4. Review the following sections:
    • Waiver Details: Identify who requested the readmit waiver, when it was requested, and any additional notes from the requestor.
    • System Recommendation to Proceed: Review system-generated guidance based on the applicant's previous enrollment history to determine eligibility according to the Policy Requirements Handbook.
    • Previous Enrollment: Examine relevant data for applicants with prior enrollment history at Job Corps. This replaces the Readmit Report—rather than reviewing a document, the system automatically checks and returns the necessary data. Note: The system now performs this check instead of requiring a separate Readmit Report.
    • Documents Tab: If the applicant was previously separated, the Admissions Representative may have uploaded supporting documentation (e.g., proof of changed motivation or behavior) for readmission consideration.

You can upload Documents and add entries to the Communications Log but have read-only access to other sections. For navigation help, refer to the Navigate a Case guide.

  1. Select Perform Readmit Waiver Review to open the decision window.

  1. Select the Waiver Result dropdown to Approve or Reject the waiver. The Admissions Representative will receive an email informing them of your decision:
    • Approve: The case routes back to the assigned Admissions Representative to proceed.
    • Reject: The case is removed from your queue, and the applicant is not readmitted.
