Complete Regional Review

This user guide is for the following MyJobCorps user roles: Regional Director (RD), COR

Overview

When a case is Recommended for Denial by center, a regional review process is initiated in Gateway. 

Regional Health Specialists (RHS) complete a review of the case and health documentation, then the Regional Director (RD) makes the final determination.

Division Chiefs and CORs have access to review these cases but cannot make decisions. 

Follow the steps below to complete these reviews efficiently.

Review Center Recommendations for Denial

The regional review process is now conducted in MyJobCorps Gateway for Centers that have on-boarded during the AFR rollout. 

For centers that have not on-boarded to MyJobCorps, the process remains outside of MyJobCorps. Work with your Regional Health Specialist outside of the system (via email) for details on the reason for the recommendation and any assessment of health documentation in E-Folder. Once that conversation occurs outside of the system, use MyJobCorps to make a decision.
Anyone with the Regional Director role receives an email notification once a recommendation for denial is submitted to them.

  1. From the Home view select the Application Tracking Number of the case you want to review.
  2. Select Recommendation for Denial button
  3. From the popup select Approve or Reject the recommendation:
    • Approve:
      • The case is closed in MyJobCorps and marked Rejected by Region.
      • Send the Regional Denial letter to the applicant outside the system.
    • Reject:
      • The case routes back to the center and is marked Pending Center Review.
      • Notify the center to proceed with enrollment.

Review Completed Determinations

Review all completed approvals and denials by leveraging filters in the Search view or by using the Reporting tab. 

Search view

  • From your Search view, select the Workflow Milestone dropdown to display Denied cases.
  • To review a list of applicants who were denied by the region, filter the Center Status to display Rejected by Region. 

Reporting tab

  • From the Reporting tab, select the Completed Waiver and Denials report. This report will show the outcome of the Regional Review process for applicants.
  • Narrow the results by filtering based on the Request Type and Result.
