3.5.1 Release in Review: You asked, we listened! In case you missed it, on May 22, several Gateway enhancements went live – bringing updates that make your case processing experience easier, such as the ability for Admissions staff to manually update a minor’s age once they turn 18, as well as system access to CORs. For your reference, here are a few key highlights that address common inquiries submitted to the Help Desk:
- Resolved the issue where Readmissions Checks were getting stuck, requiring Help Desk intervention to reset the case.
- Addressed the error preventing edits to Basic Information on certain cases.
- Restored the export button on the Prospect Report.
- Fixed the error Admissions Representatives encountered when accessing the Prospect Report.
- Added Military Transition Assistance Program as an option on the Referrer field and the “How did you hear about Job Corps?” field.

Did You Know: Supporting Departing Staff
When an Admissions Representative departs from Job Corps, their assigned cases need to be re-assigned before their Gateway account can be deactivated. The recently introduced updates to Gateway allow you to expand your view to 50 or 100 cases at a time as well as select and re-assign cases in bulk – making this offboarding task easier than ever. Once this is completed, be sure to notify the MyJobCorps Help Desk: https://gatewayhelp.jobcorps.gov/hc/en-us/requests/new
Pet of the MonthMeet Winston, Sylvia Swan's (Finch-Henry JCC) 5-year-old English Mastiff! Weighing in at 180lbs, Winston is one HUGE sweetheart. He loves cuddling, going for walks, and being sung to. Sylvia said that his favorite song to hear seems to be The Gambler by Kenny Rogers. When he's not snuggling, going for walks, or being serenaded, Winston is probably dreaming about pizza. It's his very favorite food, and every year on his birthday, he gets one whole pizza all to himself. It's safe to say Winston is living every dog's dream! Thank you, Sylvia, for sharing your gentle giant with us. Send your pet photo submissions and a brief description to: MyJobCorps@Dol.gov |
